Security Marketing Case Study

Marketing Problem:

We started working with a home and commercial security company ( in the mid-west in February 2014. They had a dated logo, an older outdated website that generated very little business, and little to no social media presence. They did very limited digital marketing other than running some Google pay-per-click ads where they were spending over $2,000 a month without consistent conversions.

While they wanted to attract more residential business, they were very interested in growing their commercial business especially in agriculture, government buildings (including schools), and businesses that have fire alarms and sprinkler systems.

Our solution

We provided them with an upgraded, digital friendly logo, built a new mobile responsive website and started monthly digital marketing efforts in the summer of 2014. In record time, they started kicking butt in the lead generation department. Efforts included Content & Social Media Marketing, new Google & Facebook Advertising, and an e-newsletter.

What We Accomplished (since July 2014)

  • 22,132 website visits since new website launched (300% increase in just the last three months from prior year).

  • 226 website contact forms received (averaging 70% close rate)

  • 330 website phone calls in last six months, the majority being sales leads

  • 65% reduction in Google PPC budget, but achieved more clicks and conversions

  • Facebook ads and posts have reach 175,000 people

  • 250% increase in social media traffic to website

  • 240% increase in keyword search results appearing on the 1st page of Google

  • Commercial business growth, especially in agriculture, due to targeted campaigns towards farms & other related businesses.

After a recent marketing meeting with our client, I received this quote from them in an email: "We have been excited to see our internet business grow over the years and we are looking forward to continued success!!!"

Again, results aren't usually immediate, but with a combined team effort and follow through, they start to happen. Like a snowball, once momentum picks up, it starts to steamroll. Our depth of experience in marketing for security companies allowed us to hit the ground running.

We couldn't be more excited for our client and their continued success. We've seen similar success with security company marketing for our other security provider clients. They're excited and eager to generate new content and implement our recommendations, because they're working.
